Annual Conference

August 31-September 3, 2026

The California District Attorney Investigators’ Association (CDAIA) annual conference will be held from August 31-September 3, 2026 at the Hilton & Sheraton Universal City. This year’s conference is a joint conference with the CDAA and it is expected to draw 500-600 attendees.

This important educational and networking event is open to CDAIA members. We welcome non-CDAIA members employed by law enforcement agencies with valid identification from your agency. In addition, the Conference invites pre-approved companies and organizations to sponsor and exhibit.

Registration will open June 8.

Conference Registration

Main Conference Venue & Host Hotel

Hilton Los Angeles / Universal City

The Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City serves as the primary conference venue and host hotel. All General Sessions, conference meals, and the Welcome Reception will be held at the Hilton.

Sheraton Universal Hotel

The Sheraton Universal Hotel, located adjacent to the Hilton, will host CDAIA breakout sessions and investigator training tracks.

Registration

CDAIA Conference Registration: $675

Registration includes:

  • Three (3) days of General Sessions
  • Afternoon breakout sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • Welcome Reception
  • Hosted networking event
  • Three (3) breakfasts
  • Two (2) lunches

Chiefs’ Meeting Day Pass (Tuesday, September 1, 2026): $200 per person.

Hotel Accommodations

CDAIA has secured a discounted room rate of $224 per night plus applicable taxes and fees at both the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City and the Sheraton Universal Hotel.

Hotel Reservation Deadline: Friday, August 7, 2026

Please book your hotel room using the official conference booking links. Reservations must be made within the conference room block to count toward CDAA and CDAIA’s contractual requirements and to receive negotiated group benefits, including a waived resort fee, discounted parking, and extended group rates for the weekends before and after the conference.

Rooms booked outside the conference block, such as through third party vendors or other websites, do not apply toward the contracted block and are not eligible for these benefits.

Hotel booking links will be included in your conference registration confirmation email.

Attendees may book accommodations at either the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City or the Sheraton Universal Hotel. While all General Sessions, conference meals, and the Welcome Reception will be held at the Hilton, CDAIA breakout sessions and investigator training tracks will take place at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. The two hotels are located adjacent to one another and are within easy walking distance.


Parking

Discounted parking rates are available to attendees staying within the conference hotel block:

  • Overnight Self -Parking: $30 plus tax
  • Overnight Valet Parking: $55 plus tax
  • Day Self-Parking: $14 plus tax
  • Day Valet Parking: $24 plus tax

Please note that attendees who book outside of the conference room block will not be eligible for discounted parking rates.


Nearby Airports

  • Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR): Approximately 5 miles
  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): Approximately 27 miles

The hotels do not provide airport shuttle service. Uber and Lyft are readily available from both airports.


Cancellations

Conference Cancellation Policy

Conference cancellations must be received in writing by July 31, 2026 and are subject to a $175 cancellation fee.

No refunds will be issued after July 31, 2026.

Substitute attendees are permitted for qualified registrants. No shows are not eligible for refunds.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: Ana.baber@countyofnapa.org.

The California District Attorney Investigators’ Association was formed to establish and maintain a closer relationship between investigators and investigative units of the District Attorneys’ Offices of California as well as other state offices who have joined the Association. Our members include: District Attorney Investigators, peace officers, prosecutors, and other district attorney personnel involved in criminal prosecution.
