Extradition Training

This is a 24-hour POST Plan IV course and is primarily designed for the plain-clothes officer assigned to transport prisoners using public transportation, relocating confidential witnesses and extraditing prisoners on airlines. This course is directed towards the officer who is responsible for security, safety and protection of witnesses and prisoners. This course will concentrate on potential risks the plain clothes officer may encounter when transporting a witness/prisoner during ground transportation and on airlines.
The training will concentrate on the following topics:
- FAA flying armed
- Firearms training
- Close quarter combat
- Unconventional shooting positions
- Simmunitions training
- Defensive tactics
- Plain clothes survival
- Strategies for terrorist take over

Presentation Location & Hours:
This 24-hour course will start at 0800 hours and will be presented at the San Diego County Regional Firearms Training Center, 440 Alta Road, San Diego, CA 92158.
Required Equipment:
Duty weapon, 500 rounds of factory practice ammunition, 200 rounds of frangible ammunition plainclothes impact weapon, handcuffs, flashlight, plainclothes holster, mag pouch, handcuff pouch, ballistic vest, foul weather gear, hat, eye and ear protection, (4) magazines, sun block, water bottle, elbow and knee pads suggested.
